Fulla Doll Gains Popularity In Egypt

Shoppers in Egypt are snapping up the latest Fulla doll.

The doll, similar to a Barbie doll, is a veiled Muslim doll. She was made as an alternative to western-style Barbies.

The Fulla doll is dressed in an Islamic headscarf and an overcoat and has a pink felt prayer rug.

The doll's creators said Fulla is single and has no plans to marry.

A GIRL'S DREAM DOLL

Fulla - the little girl that wears modest outfits, her top priorities are respect for herself and all around her and being kind to her friends and peers. We take pride promoting virtues to help girls be the very best today so they will grow up to be the women
who make a difference tomorrow.

This is a perfect example of a western country being unaware of culturally nuances outside itself. Its a girl fight that we should keep in the public domain as Mattel continue to lose ground to Fulla.
