My Comments: Clive Wearing

I think I've got the same thing.

Clive Wearing

Clive Wearing (May 11, 1938) is a British musicologist, conductor, tenor and keyboardist suffering from an acute and long-lasting case of anterograde and retrograde amnesia, meaning that he lacks both the ability to form new memories and to recall some aspects of his past memories.

Sawalis - The Sehri Awakers of India

http://ramadankareem.blogspot.in/2006/10/sawalis-sehri-awakers-of-india.html

Appeal to help Syed Muneer Ahmed (blind) who wakes up people for Saher during Ramazan

There is a blind man who is not unknown to the people of Hyderabad. We remember him during Ramazan. He is Mr. Syed Muneer Ahmed, a blind person who wakes up people in Ramazan for Sahri. He has been doing this service for the past 25 years. People should extend support to this blind person. He shoulders the responsibilities of his parents, wife and two children. Being blind he can’t generate permanent income by doing any work. Whatever he gets during Ramazan, he uses it to supports his family for a few months and again, he has to come out for begging. His son is getting education.

Basic things . . . .

We'd have a Social Security system. A monthly pension should be given. Food, education, medical care, housing, transportation and other basic things should be given free of cost (at least) to people below poverty line. Do we have this? I guess there're some programs. But we need a total, comprehensive solution.
