Praise be to Allah. Belief in al-qadar Belief in al-qadar (the divine will and decree ) is one of the pillars of faith. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, when he answered Jibril’s question about faith: “(It means) believing in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers and the Last Day, and to believe in al-qadar (the divine decree) both good and bad.”
