The Mughal emperor Shah Jahān didin't do anything except drained the Exchequer! Which rightfully belonged to -- perhaps -- starving peasants.
Ironically: It's not an icon of undying, eternal and timeless love but a sad, woeful collective tale of forced labor and bondslaves -- utterly and pityfully at the mercy of a lovelorn and loony tyrant and his whims and fancies!
