In Sundarbans in West Bengal, where man-animal conflict is at its peak, fishermen and bushmen originally created masks made to look like faces to wear on the back of their heads because tigers always attack from behind. Wildlife experts say this worked for a short time but tigers soon realized it was a hoax and the attacks continued.
